U12 Camogs make History
Monday 17th August 2015 will go down in the Camogie Club history when the Club secured their first ever Armagh underage league title. The U12 camogs secured the Division 1 Cup after winning their last league game against Keady. This team were unbeaten in their league recording 5 wins out of 5, they finished on a high playing their last game on home turf. Upon the final whistle the team received a massive applause from the many supporters and parents that turned out to support them.
Both sides enjoyed plenty of possession in the opening 10 minutes of the first half; but Keady couldn’t make in-roads on the scoreboard. The Noose girls held Keady scoreless for the game with a massive display from the backs; the midfielders worked tirelessly for the full game ensuring the forwards received plenty of possession up front to allow them to register scores for their team.
This panel of girls have played exceptionally all year and it just goes to show what you can achieve with dedication, passion, desire and the willingness to learn!!

U12’s attend “Peggy Harney” 7 a side Tournament in Armagh
The U12s kindly accepted their invitation to attend the Peggy Harney 7 a side Tournament played on Saturday 28th August. The weather was very kind to all as the sun shone, and after topping their section by beating Ballymacnab and Tullysarran in 2 hard fought games they were straight into the final to meet St Brigids [title holders] who also topped their section. It was a game of two halves as Derrynoose found themselves chasing St Brigids at half time. On the restart it was very much the ‘Noose to fore with the girls piling on the pressure towards the Armagh nets. A lot of wides were registered and as the final whistle went they found they were narrowly beaten by the title holders. The girls were a credit to themselves never giving up and always playing in true sportsmanship. The presentation was made to the captain of St Brigids from the Harney family and the Derrynoose camogs were presented with their runners up medals. Congratulations to Sinead Quinn who was awarded the Player of the Tournament.
