Our under 12 girls travelled to the Moy today for their annual tournament. The girls had great wins over fintona, steelstown , buncrana and Donaghmore to top the group and qualify for the sheild the top prize on offer. In the 1/4 finals they beat moortown, in the semifinals they had a great battle with kildress winning by a point and qualifying or the final. In the final they played a great Omagh team, after full time the game was level and it went to extra time both teams scored 0.2 in extra time..so the game went to golden score, our girls were unlucky when Omagh scored the winner from a free.. so it wasn’t to be for our girls unfortunately getting beat like that.
27 teams from all over ulster and our girls came so close… well done all … Ella Hamilton was a rock in full back all day , flanked by the two tight marking corner backs , Caoimhe Hourican and Orla Haughey, the two Caoimhe’s in midfield Farrell and Mc nally run themselves into the ground and scored some brilliant points , up from laoise Gollolgy was immense at full forward and the twin Heavins in both corners gave their all , Annie Fitzpatrick, Niamh Duffy and Clare o hare scored some brilliant points when introduced.. great day was had by everyone, Well done again girls
